Six key bargaining demands in 2025. Our demands are reasonable and reflect the value that we bring to the organization and the recent and expected changes in cost of living. Display this poster at your cubicle to show Management you support these critical improvements to our working conditions.

A Better NYLAG means fair raises. Membership ranked salary as their top bargaining issue going into bargaining in 2022.

A Better NYLAG means flexible remote work. Membership signaled to us that flexible remote & hybrid work options were high on the priority list as we began bargaining in 2022.

A Better NYLAG means a sustainable workload. Workload has long been an issue at NYLAG, and was one of the reasons we unionized to begin with. Unsurprisingly, one of our top three issues going into bargaining in 2022.

A Better NYLAG means…fill in your own! What other issues are important to you? Some suggestions: staff health & safety, interpreter bonuses, supervision protections, etc.

Our CBA expires on September 30, 2022. We’d like for our contract to not turn into a metaphorical pumpkin on October 1.

I voted YES on the SAV & demanding a fair contract. The SAV was open from Wednesday, 1/11/23 to Wednesday, 1/18/23. 93% of membership voted, and 92% of voters authorized a strike.
